'MeadowGate starts with a straightforward ambition: to share genuine Neapolitan pizzas with London. Established by the Romano kin in 1985, our shop began as a quaint locale managed by family, endowed with age-old recipes passed through generations.
Our founder, Luca Romano, honed her pizza-crafting skills on her journeys across Italy, learning from legendary pizza makers in Naples - the cradle of pizza. On her return to the UK, she set out to replicate the enchantment of quintessential Italian pizza, embracing classic techniques and sourcing only premium ingredients.
From its origins as a humble diner with just 12 seats, it has flourished into a bastion of local admiration, yet our dedication to craft and genuine taste remains unshaken. We continue to utilize traditional wood-burning ovens, prepare our dough afresh every day, and seek out top-tier ingredients.
Now, 'MeadowGate' is proudly upheld by family, with the Romano lineage's next generation steering our enthusiastic crew. While we've adopted a few contemporary innovations, the core ethos of our enterprise endures unchanged: concocting delectable, genuine pizzas that congregate folks together.
